Proposal - ShillGuard

A tool which checks outreach against platform/group rules and redlines improvements to avoid bans/spam.

Abstract

During my last startup experiment, I got banned from a lot of subreddits and Facebook groups whilst doing social media marketing, and I got marked as spam on email which hurt my deliverability. This was such a headache that I needed to build something to solve it.

Hypothesis - problem

A startup gets banned on Reddit + Facebook + email —> no way to do cold outreach —> no way to make money

Hypothesis - solution

A tool which checks the outreach against group and/or platform rules, highlights issues with content that may get it marked as spam/reported, and then redlines improvements.

Methodology

  1. 1. Landing page

    • - Hero, problem, solution, features, pricing, CTA, Footer

  2. 2. MVP

    • - A chrome extension which activates only on reddit, Facebook and gmail after a licence key is put in.
    • - For Reddit: detects when you are about to post and activates. Shows a button to check the draft. checks the draft for quality of content and adherence to rules. Computes a score, if below a threshold it shows a button to optimise.
    • - For Facebook: detects when you are about to post and activates. Shows a button to check the draft. checks the draft for quality of content and adherence to group rules. Computes a score, if below a threshold it shows a button to optimise.
    • - For gmail: detects when you are about to email and activates. Shows a button to check the draft. checks the draft for quality of content and checks inbox account for spam risk. Computes a score, if below a threshold it shows a button to optimise.
