About Tamarind

The Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) is a vital engine for carbon sequestration. Like all trees, it acts as a carbon sink, absorbing atmospheric carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and storing the carbon in its trunk, branches, roots, and leaves.

With a wood density of approximately 800 kg/m³, the Tamarind is an exceptionally dense and efficient carbon store. Although it grows slowly, its dense wood packs a significant amount of carbon into every cubic meter of biomass.
